Transportation Projects

The City of Rogers is working with MN Dot and partners on a number of transportation projects.

As of October 29th, crews have opened the new Diverging Diamond Interchange along County Road 144 (141st Ave) and all of the lanes on Highway 101.

New pavement markings, signals, and signs will direct you through County Road 144. The Diverging Diamond Interchange design allows traffic to cross to the opposite side of the road, and then back to the original side once passing underneath Highway 101. This design improves traffic safety by eliminating turns in front of oncoming traffic, and eases traffic flow onto and off Highway 101.

Pedestrians and bicyclists on County Road 144 can use the new trail along the roadway and in the center of the diamond interchange to get to the other side of Highway 101. This design improves pedestrian safety as they are only crossing one direction of traffic.

Please continue to drive carefully through the area and expect additional lane closures on Highway 101 while crews continue to do some final work along the roadway.

The purpose of this project is to Increase the road capacity to improve traffic flow. Also, ease congestion and rush hour backups on heavily used routes for commuting and freight. This will also reduce congestion on any secondary routes in the area.
