Mission:
The mission of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is to enhance the lives of current and future generations of Roger’s residents and contribute vision, leadership, and recommendations to the City Council for the best use and development of Rogers’ parks, trails, recreation programming, and open spaces.

Purpose:
The purpose of this Board is to work as a team to:

1. Study and determine the parks, recreation and open space needs of the City and serve as an Advisory Board providing recommendations to the City Council on matters pertaining to the planning, programming, evaluating and funding of park and recreation facilities and programs in accordance with Minnesota Statutes.

2. Recommend annual priorities to the City Council, with reference to the Comprehensive Master Park Plan for Parks, Trails, and Open Space, for the acquisition, development, operation, and maintenance of recreation area, natural area, facilities, and programs.

The park board meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 5:15pm at Rogers city Hall.  The public is welcome to attend.

The City of Rogers is accepting applications from Rogers residents interested in partcipating in the Elm Creek Watershed Management Commission.  The Commissions goals are to protect, preserve, and manage surface and groundwater resources.  The Commission meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 11:30am in Maple Grove.  Contact John Seifert, Rogers Pulic Works Superintendent at 763-428-8580 for more information.

The City of Rogers is accepting applications from Rogers residents interested in participating in the Rogers Park Board.  The Park Board is an advisory body to the City Council with meetings on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:15 P.M. This is a volunteer position.

Please complete and drop off the Park Board Application at City Hall (Map). Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
