Police Department

crime-reports-mappingThe Rogers Police Department is pleased to report that we have gone live with a valuable reporting tool for our community called CrimeReports.com.

This visual representation of current crimes and calls for service can be located by visiting:  https://www.crimereports.com/agency/rogers.  Residents can view this electronic map as often as they wish, to see where, and what types of offenses that the rogers police department has responded to. The maps are updated each day.

The title boxes on the map indicate calls for service. "T" calls are thefts for example. The location of each box-is the physical location of where the offense took place. Residents can decide which calls for service they are interested in seeing, or they can select and view every call for service. They also have the ability to see just very recent calls, or go back over an extended period of time to see calls for any specified period.

When you scroll over the map-by merely bringing the cursor for your mouse and hovering over the top of any call box-the call details will be displayed-including the case number, location, time and general description of the event.

The interactive mapping service has the ability to track crimes, and develop trends or patterns of crimes-to help officers, and citizens be aware of where certain offenses are taking place, including the times these offenses are occurring. The below chart is the current trends for thefts from vehicles.

Residents may also register to receive crime monitoring alerts and official alerts from local law enforcement agencies, by registering with the site, and providing the location(s) they wish to be notified about. You could put your school, home and business down-and receive alerts for all three.
