Fire Department

The Rogers Fire Department will be conducting annual fire inspections of area businesses under the City's new commercial inspection program. Fire inspections are designed to help businesses maintain the overall safety and maintenance of their facilities by ensuring they are in compliance with the State Fire Code.

Businesses will receive letters announcing the inspection program which will include a sample checklist that can be used to conduct a self-inspection prior to the Fire Inspector arriving. The City Fire Inspector will also be developing "Pre-Plans" as the fire inspection is being conducted. Pre-Plans are used by the fire department to provide firefighters with as much information as possible in advance of any emergency call, including the location of items/facilities within the building such as utilities, fire department connections, fire sprinkler room and any hazards that might exist at that location. The primary goal of the commercial fire inspection program is work with business owners to ensure the safety of employees and the general public.
