We're so excited to announce the Rogers Community Gardens Initiative! There will be two new garden spaces - one at the Water Tower, near Hassan Elementary and one at Triangle Park, on the south side of town.

Both of these sites have space available for residents to rent a garden plot for a season but also have space for the ISD 728 Community Education summer programming to teach children about where food comes from! This was a priority for the City of Rogers because community gardening has a myriad of benefits.  Not only are gardeners able to provide fresh homegrown produce to their household all summer long, but they are also investing in their community's green space and the local foods movement. The plots are all reserved for the 2010 season so keep your eyes open for a full garden at both sites this year!
