1.   Call to Order. The goal setting workshop session of the Council of the City of Rogers was called to order by Mayor Grimm on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 8:15 a.m. at Town Green, 7991 Main Street N, Maple Grove, MN 55311.

Council present:    Rob Bell, Jay Bunting, Jason Grimm, Rick Ihli and Maureen Stanley.

Staff present: Gary Buysse, Liquor Operations Manager, Stacy Doboszenski, Assistant City Administrator; Brad Feist, Fire Chief; Mike Miller, Police Captain; John Seifert, Public Works Supt.; Steve Stahmer, City Administrator; and Lisa Wieland, Finance Director.

2.   2012 Goal Setting Discussion
Administrator Stahmer opened the workshop with a review of past goals set at the 2009 Council/Staff retreat.

Council and staff discussed priorities and goals for 2012 and the future of the merged community. Council and staff decided on seven primary goals.

Staff will work to develop individual strategies and action steps related to these seven goals, to be reviewed by Council at a future work session. The other, lower-scoring goals will also be included in the final goal/strategy document.

3. ADJOURN
The workshop was adjourned at 12:00 p.m.
