Seniors

2013-senior-dining-food1Our senior dining program support elders by improving their quality of life with nourishment of both body and mind. Two extremely important components of older adults maintaining their independence are social interaction and adequate nutrition.

Often meal planning and preparation become too burdensome to accomplish and the lack of adequate nutrition compromises an elder's health. Community dining settings can provide a welcoming atmosphere to share friendship as well as a well-balanced meal.

The March menu and April menu lists the food that will be served for the senior congregate dining program.

What are congregate meals?

2013-senior-dining-personCongregate meals are for anyone age 55 or older and their spouse, regardless of age, that would like to enjoy a hot, well-balanced lunch and good company. Lunches are served around noontime at the Rogers Community Room.
